Strappy Heels

Not blogged in a while so I thought it was time for an update!
I started looking for some strappy heels back around New Year time, and only ended up finding some I liked quite recently! These type of shoes without the platform and the thin heel are so on trend right now, and are being worn by lots of celebrities. I wanted a black pair so they would go with pretty much anything, and it's safe to say I'm in love! These heels are so versatile, and can be worn with a lot of different outfits from dressy ones to more casual looks. They will be great for spring and summer time too as they are very light! Maybe a white pair will be next on my list!!!

Aztec

Hello everyone! A few weeks ago, I went shopping once again and bought lots of exciting new things like this amazing aztec print jacket. It is bursting with colour and has lots of abstract shapes that give it this fabulous aztec look. It is definitely a statement piece and is very different! It is great for the Autumn because bold prints are really on trend, and it keeps you quite warm! I only tend to wear this with quite plain clothes e.g. black leggings so the jacket can really stand out. I absoloutely love this jacket and I will be getting a lot of wear out of it even into the warmer months!

Kim Kardashian

Hey everyone! I found some recent pictures of Kim Kardashian last week and I thought her clothes looked amazing! Her 3 different coats are all really on trend for the Autumn and look fab on her. My favourite is the baby pink one and I think it looks great with denim. The colour also really complements Kim's new blonde hair! Her brown coat looks good with a fedora which is also very on trend, and her boots really pull the whole look together. I think these coats are going to be popular for the Autumn because of Kim!

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Hey guys! I hope you're having a great week :)
So for my textiles work in college, I looked at Dolce & Gabbana's S/S 2014 collection and I fell in love with it straight away. The designs for this season are so decorative, ornate and are bursting with colour. They have incorporated lots of floral patterns so I can see this coming back next year! They have also used polka dots and images of coins which I think looks fab on the garments. The colours used also complement each other and look amazing together. A lot of creams and golds have been used, but there is also a hint of black and a few darker colours. The hair pieces created include a lot of coin designs, which I think is a creative alternative to the classic jewellery chain. This collection mainly consists of dresses and skirts so I think these will be big next spring/summer. I hope these patterns and designs will be popular next year!

NAKED Palette

Hey everyone! For my birthday this year I received a NAKED eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay. I got the original palette which includes bronzy colours as opposed to the silvery colours that the NAKED 2 palette has. (It is the one with the velvet brown cover - the silver palette is inside a silver metal tin). I wanted this palette because I have been really into doing my eyeshadow, and have recently learnt many new tricks for perfecting it! I usually use more bronze and brown colours so this palette was perfect for me. The colours are really pigmented, and there are a range of matte and shimmery ones. The palette consists of 12 shadows, and the colours are Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal. The shadows get darker as you go down the palette, and it comes with a brush. I think the NAKED palette is definitely good value for money as the shadows last for a very long time, and are of really great quality. It is absolutely worth the money and I would easily recommend!

Boots, Boots, Boots

Timberlands, $90
This summer, I went on holiday to America with my family and bought these Timberland boots whilst we were there. I had been really wanting some Timberlands for ages, so when I saw them on holiday I just had to get them! They are soooo comfy and they are definitely my go-to shoes when I feel like dressing down. They go with a range of clothing and they are quite edgy; they also add a bit of something different to a look. They are quite a casual, boyish shoe but I just love them! They are a great alternative to something like Converse, and are good if you want to stand out from the crowd!

Ankle boots, £30
So today I bought these fabulous new boots that I am in LOVE with. I have been wanting some of this style for a while because they are really on trend at the moment, and are cute just to throw on to spice up an outfit. They will also compliment any look so I think I will be wearing these a lot this winter, and probably into the summer too! (I will possibly wear them with a pair of Levis in the summer!) I love the buckle detailing on the outside; it completes the look of the boots. The baby heel will also add a little bit of height, but it's not too high that you can't walk! These boots are super comfortable, fashionable, and a bit grungy looking which is so on trend right now. I can tell I will be getting a LOT of wear out of these boots!

New Purchases!

Shawl £10 Matalan

Sweater £18 Matalan

Hey everyone! So last week I was looking through the latest Matalan catalogue to see if anything caught my eye, and I came across some fabulous clothes that I fell in love with. (I don't shop at Matalan a lot but sometimes you can find some amazing clothes for a bargain!)
I've been looking around for a new coat lately since winter is approaching, but instead I found a gorgeous shawl in the Matalan catalogue that I was instantly drawn to. The checkered print really stood out to me because in my opinion it's a classic! Also the black and white colours will go with anything. Shawls are really on trend, and are great to throw on over a simple outfit to add some texture and style! I will definitely be wearing this a lot this winter!
I have also been needing some new jumpers as the weather gets colder, and in Matalan (when I went in to buy my shawl), I saw a beautiful, red, fluffy sweater that was perfect! The fabric is so soft and warm that you probably wouldn't need to wear a coat over the top; always a bonus! I would maybe team this with a pair of black leggings and boots, or maybe leather shorts and tights to add a pop of colour on those gloomy winter mornings!
Happy shopping! :* xx
